Downgrades between paid plans
When a customer downgrades from paid plan B to paid plan A:- They receive credits for the unused portion of paid plan B until the end of the current billing period.
- These credits are immediately applied to the amount due for paid plan A for the remainder of the billing period.
- If the credits exceed the amount due for plan A, the customer will not be charged for the downgrade.
- Any leftover credits are stored by the billing provider integrated with Stigg and are automatically applied to future invoices.
Downgrades to free plans
When a customer downgrades from a paid plan to a free plan:- They receive credits for the unused time remaining in the billing period.
- These credits are stored by the billing provider and automatically applied to future paid usage—such as upgrading again later or paying for another product.
- Most billing providers also support manual refunds of available credits, though this must currently be done outside of Stigg.
