Downgrades between paid plans

When a customer downgrades from paid plan B to paid plan A:
  1. They receive credits for the unused portion of paid plan B until the end of the current billing period.
  2. These credits are immediately applied to the amount due for paid plan A for the remainder of the billing period.
  3. If the credits exceed the amount due for plan A, the customer will not be charged for the downgrade.
  4. Any leftover credits are stored by the billing provider integrated with Stigg and are automatically applied to future invoices.

Downgrades to free plans

When a customer downgrades from a paid plan to a free plan:
  1. They receive credits for the unused time remaining in the billing period.
  2. These credits are stored by the billing provider and automatically applied to future paid usage—such as upgrading again later or paying for another product.
  3. Most billing providers also support manual refunds of available credits, though this must currently be done outside of Stigg.
