The legal entity is the billing identity used on invoices generated from a contract; it’s selected or created during billing contract set up. A legal entity has two sets of details: Public information (appears on the invoice itself):
  • Logo
  • Entity name and legal name
  • Registration number (EIN / VAT ID)
  • Address (country, city, zip, full address)
  • Contact email and phone number
Billing details (the vendor’s bank account information, included on invoices so the customer knows where to send payment):
  • Bank name and bank code
  • Account number, branch number, and account name
  • Bank address
  • Routing / ABA number
A legal entity can have more than one bank account configured, with one marked as Default. Once created, a legal entity can be reused and selected across multiple contracts. Stigg also supports creating more than one legal entity, so a vendor can bill from different entities depending on need (for example, a US entity and an EU entity).
