SFTP

Overview

Stigg’s integration with SFTP allows you to export your product catalog, customer, and subscription data as files to an SFTP server you control.

Stigg’s native data export integrations are included in the Scale plan, and are also available as an optional add-on to the Growth plan. See Stigg’s pricing for more details.

Setting up the integration

Prerequisites

An SFTP server you control. Authentication uses an SSH keypair — Stigg’s public key is shown in the connect form, in the format ssh-key <public key> some-comment.

Create an SFTP user on your server

mkdir ~/.ssh
chmod 700 ~/.ssh
cd ~/.ssh
touch authorized_keys
chmod 600 authorized_keys
echo "ssh-key <public key from the Stigg connect form> sftpwriter-public-key" > authorized_keys

The key, including the ssh-key prefix and comment, must be all on one line in authorized_keys, with no linebreaks.

Connect Stigg with SFTP

In Stigg, navigate to Integrations > Apps > SFTP.Enter the following information in the connection form:

Field	Description
Host name	The hostname or IP address of your SFTP server
Folder name	The folder path where data will be written
Username	The SFTP user created above
Port	The port your SFTP server listens on for SSH connections (typically `22`)
Delimiter character	The delimiter used when writing CSV-formatted files
PGP public key (optional)	An ASCII-armored PGP public key (RSA or ECC, 2,048+ bits) to encrypt files at rest, in addition to in-transit encryption. Can’t be added or changed after the destination is created — create a new destination instead.

Click Test & connect.

In addition to write access to the configured folder, the SFTP user needs write access to a _manifests/ directory at the SFTP root — Stigg writes a per-transfer manifest file there, even if your data lands in a subfolder.

Select entities to export

After entering your connection details, expand the Entities to export section to choose which entity groups to include in the sync. All groups are selected by default.See Exported entities for a description of each group.
