# Free plans

Free plans are typically designed to give customers access to a limited set of product features, while premium or advanced functionality is available through paid plans. This approach is commonly known as the [**Freemium**](/guides/i-want-to/add-freemium) model.

Customers do not need to provide payment information to subscribe to a free plan.

To set a plan as **Free**:

1. Select **Free** as the plan type.
2. Click **Set** to confirm.
