# Overview

**Custom plans** are used when the price and content of a subscription are individually negotiated with each customer. This approach is common in **sales-led opportunities**, where terms vary between customers.

When Stigg is integrated with a billing solution, subscriptions to custom plans **will not** be created in the billing system.

To set a plan as **Custom**:

1. Select **Custom** as the plan type.
2. Click **Continue** to proceed to the plan’s [default free trial configuration](./defining-plan-pricing/paid/charges/free-trials).
